I have been working extremely hard getting the word out about my architecture and interior photography services at Main Floor Photography the past few months and shooting on average 2 homes each day. To some that may not sound like much, but the amount of work and detail I put into my work definitely pays off. I always try to out do my last shoot and offer my client something different. I recently did a backyard photo shoot for Karen Parks, ASID designer and owner of Associate Interiors.
The ability to utilize off camera flash has really become a tremendous asset to me. Scott Robert Lim taught me how to use it for portrait work, but the same concept of calculating flash power and mixing ambient light with flash is a valuable skill to have. I attribute my success in architecture and interior photography to lighting as well as unique perspectives and offering my client something that they haven’t seen before. Creating images for real estate agents that showcase features in a home is so much fun for me, because I love to see craftsmanship and design concepts and being able to display it to a potential homebuyer. The MLS doesn’t show homes like this and I feel that I am in a sense bridging real estate photography, and product photography together and presenting it on the MLS.
